Dig Smart, Not Hard

Mining is a key feature in Cubic Odyssey. You’ll spend a lot of time underground, digging for precious ores and rare materials. But you’re not going to dig with your bare hands, right? And using a shovel is too old school. That’s why you need the Extractor, a handy tool that will help you dig much faster.
One thing to keep in mind: you'll need plenty of batteries to keep your tools — including the Extractor — charged. So be sure to craft some and take them with you before heading underground. That way, you won’t have to go up every 20 minutes.
It probably won’t surprise you, but caves are dark. You’ll need something to help you avoid getting lost in the maze of stone and dirt. A few dozen torches should do the trick — they’re easy to craft and small enough, so it won’t take a lot of space in your backpack.

There's no need to dig randomly in all directions looking for ore. Just ask QB-1 for help. He's excellent at scanning the terrain and will tell you exactly where to find the materials you’re after. Once you’ve discovered a type of rare ore, he can track it for you — or search for materials of a specific level you need.
Don’t get too greedy — remember to return home now and then to store everything you’ve mined. You can always come back later. Sort your resources into chests, and if there’s something you don’t need, you can recycle or sell it for a good price.
Get ready to begin your journey on May 14th, when Cubic Odyssey launches on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
